Get the Flash Player
The Vine Street Media player, which lets you listen online to songs and samples from our artists, requires a recent version of the Macromedia Flash Player plugin. This can be downloaded here from the Macromedia website.
Enable Popup Windows
The player may not work if you have enabled a popup blocker, so be sure to disable it if you have one running. Most popup blocker programs will allow you to do this easily with a keystroke, a button, or a setting in your browser.
Use a Recent Browser
The Vine Street website and media player are designed for newer versions of the Internet Explorer and Netscape / Mozilla browsers. IE 6.0 or higher, Netscape 7.0 or higher, or Mozilla 1.4 or higher are recommended.
How to Play a Song or Clip
At various places throughout the site, you will be presented with a choice to listen to a clip or song. Just click the hyperlink for the clip and the popup player will appear, or will begin loading the new clip if it is already open.
The player allows you to play / pause, adjust volume, and adjust the playback position of the clip. Note that the position slider will only allow you to skip around the segment of the clip that is already loaded into the buffer.
1. Make sure you see the popup and the player, if not, you may have a popup blocker loaded or may not have the latest Flash plugin.
2. Adjust the volume control on the player and on your system to ensure sound will be produced.
3. Be patient if you have a slower modem connection to the internet - the audio must download a certain ammount before playback begins. You should see the download progress indicated on the playback position slider.
